The dashboard
A tool, not an answer. It shows you the number and leaves you to work out what it means and what to do about it. One more login to run.
Our Thesis
For twenty years, technology sold you tools and left you to run them. The largest, most complex line on your P&L got the least of that attention. That is ending, and it is the shift Straata was built for.
The shift
Software handed you a calculator and called it a solution. The next generation of companies sells the finished result, the return itself, not the dashboard that hints at it. Analysts have a name for it now, service-as-software, and it is repricing a $4.6 trillion services economy from labor you manage into outcomes you buy.
Payments is where this matters most. It is one of the biggest revenue lines a platform operates and one of the least instrumented. You track MRR, churn, and retention in real time, then run your highest-margin line on a spreadsheet and a prayer.
Why the old answers fail
A tool, not an answer. It shows you the number and leaves you to work out what it means and what to do about it. One more login to run.
A slide deck that decays on arrival. Priced by the hour, true at a point in time, and stale the moment the market moves. In payments, that is monthly.
A single point of failure. Four to six hundred thousand dollars loaded, six to twelve months to land, and even a great one works alone from only what they have personally seen.
And per-seat software charges you more the more you grow, taxing the exact success it claims to create.
Why now
Payments was never sold as an outcome because the work behind it, normalizing processor data, reconciling residuals to the penny, benchmarking, and modeling price, was too expensive to do continuously. AI changes that math. A small team of senior operators, with proprietary technology carrying the heavy lifting, can now own the entire function for a fraction of a single hire.
This is what the market calls AI-native services. Not software you operate, and not advice you are left to act on alone. The vendor owns the result, and the economics finally allow it.
Our bet
Straata is not a consultant and not a platform. We combine senior payments operators with our own technology and take the whole outcome off your desk: lower cost, more revenue, faster launches. You buy the result, not another tool and not another hire.
No handoff after the finding. A named operator turns evidence into recovery, negotiation, optimization, or an operating plan, and stays accountable for the number.
Every other party in payments is paid by the processor. We are not. Our only compensation comes from the client, which is the only way the advice stays honest.
The history, the context, and the benchmarks live with us, not in one person’s head. When your team changes, the program does not reset to zero.
The Payments Diagnostic reads four files and returns a graded Report Card in one week. The thesis, made concrete on your data.
